Very simple to assemble. Rotates very easily. Have not had it long enough to get a batch of compost out of it, but we add to it constantly. The holes in the lid can allow very small grass clippings or coffee grounds to drop out when it is rotated. Easily swept up and is a heck of a lot less work than trying to stir compost in a regular bin.

Works as advertised. Will get heavy and a bit harder to tumble as stuff is added.

1. Really easy to put together, lone female, 15 minutes
2. However, it says to put in mostly grass clippings! which I do not have cause I mulch. plant clippings, and dirt are what I have been putting in… had a fair amount of fibrous stuff at the end of a month… left that in and used the rest, which was pretty good. I will probably put in plants from fall clean up and see what i have in the spring

I was convinced that I wouldn’t be one of those people who wouldn’t tend to a compost pile properly when I tried composting the old-fashioned way, turning the pile every few days. But it got to be too back-breaking for my body, and took so long to get a small amount of compost. After hemming and hawing about the cost of one of these Tumbleweeds for a year or more, I finally got one. Then I realized to do the job right and get the most compost possible, it would really be better to have two. So I bit the bullet and did it. And I’ve now got a composting assembly line going here, with a new batch of compost every month. I’m so happy with it. My garden flowers seem to have perked up already, and I’m brewing up some batches to mulch for the fall & winter as well as feed my veggie beds. This product is pricy but worth it! Recycling at its finest!
