so i have a wind mill i made but now i need a alternator or a generator?

could i use a car Alternator? if that even makes sense?

    yes, if the power level of the wind turbine is in the range that the alternator operates at, about 1000-2000 watts, although they will operate at lower power levels, perhaps as low as 200 watts.

    You may have to use gears or belts to match the speed of the wind turbine to that of the alternator. And you will need a 12 volt battery, and a voltage regulator designed for that alternator.
