how to make a simple wind mill generator to light a led?

The most simple would be a dc motor and LED. Connect the led to the Red and Black lead. Turn the shaft of the motor. You should see the LED light in one of the directions.

Now the hard part. Finding a motor that can be turned by your fan.

You may burn out the LED if too much current is generated. If you find this occurs place a small value resistor in series with the LED.
